What the FAA does with it
The certification team accepts the schedule, submitted by You submit it with your formal application.
What you'll need to provide
Dates for manual submissions, training, conformity, proving/validation tests
What the FSDO looks for
Inspectors evaluate submissions using FAA Order 8900.1 guidance and, for certificate holders, SAS Data Collection Tools.
- 8900.1: V2 C3 S2 Safety Assurance System: Phase 2: Formal Application (CHG 913, Current) | V2 C12 S2 Phase 2: Formal Application (CHG 1061, Current)
- Advisory Circulars: AC 120-49A
- DCTs: none mapped
Common reasons submissions are returned
- Aircraft data (make, model, serial, N-number) inconsistent across the application, the document and the registration certificate
- Outdated revision of a referenced AC, MMEL or template
- Missing signatures, dates or revision control on each page
- Missing required attachments: Dates for manual submissions, training, conformity, proving/validation tests
- Submitting to the wrong office or by the wrong method (expected: You submit it with your formal application)
